Going on the faculty job market soon? Join us for valuable advice from our Career Development staff and from faculty who have served on search committees. This afternoon event an overview of the faculty job search, a panel that will get you ready to apply this fall, and an interactive session to plan your next steps.

  • The Landscape of Higher Education & Faculty Careers (2:00 - 2:45 PM)
    • This session provides a discussion of the state of higher education, the variety of faculty careers available, and the faculty job search process (including timelines, finding job postings, common application materials, time management strategies, and more).
  • Faculty Panel (2:45 - 4:00 PM)
    • In this session, you will hear from faculty at a variety of kinds of institutions who recently navigated the faculty job market. They will share their own experiences as well as their perspectives on what schools like theirs prioritize in hiring.

  • Planning for the Fall & Beyond (4:00 - 4:30 PM)
    • This session will guide you in developing a plan to tackle the faculty job search in the Fall.
