Description, Responsibilities, and Qualifications

Position Summary:
The DLs assists in supervising, mentoring, developing and maintaining a positive community environment directly or indirectly to support learning, growth, and development. The DLs may also need to assist BRSS residents with their personal care (dressing, bathing, etc.) 
 

Qualifications:
Required: Acceptance into graduate school at time of application. Perform duties of a Personal Assistant when necessary. Pass a criminal background check.
This is a LIVE-IN POSITION where two DLs will split the on-duty responsibilities to fulfill the position from 5pm– 8am two nights per week (M-F), in addition to  being on duty every other weekend from 5pm Friday – 8am Monday. Sleeping is allowed while on-duty.

• While on duty,  the DL can sleep, study, eat, workout, interact with friends, etc. if it is within Nugent/SDRP, and that you prioritize fulfillment of the DL responsibilities.
• Between 12am-8am, you may be awakened and need to address fulfillment of DL responsibilities.
   

Preferred: Graduate student in a disability-related field of study, and experience in organized group living (including residence halls, fraternities, sororities, or related living environment.
