Position Summary:
The DLs assists in supervising, mentoring, developing and maintaining a positive community environment directly or indirectly to support learning, growth, and development. The DLs may also need to assist BRSS residents with their personal care (dressing, bathing, etc.)
Qualifications:
Required: Acceptance into graduate school at time of application. Perform duties of a Personal Assistant when necessary. Pass a criminal background check.
This is a LIVE-IN POSITION where two DLs will split the on-duty responsibilities to fulfill the position from 5pm– 8am two nights per week (M-F), in addition to being on duty every other weekend from 5pm Friday – 8am Monday. Sleeping is allowed while on-duty.
- While on duty, the DL can sleep, study, eat, workout, interact with friends, etc. if it is within Nugent/SDRP, and that you prioritize fulfillment of the DL responsibilities.
- Between 12am-8am, you may be awakened and need to address fulfillment of DL responsibilities.
Preferred: Graduate student in a disability-related field of study, and experience in organized group living (including residence halls, fraternities, sororities, or related living environment.

Compensation
The Beckwith Residential Support Services (BRSS) Disability Liaison (DL) position is a 0.5 FTE Pre-Professional Graduate Assistantship (PPGA):
Compensation:
- In-state tuition & fee waiver (as allowed)
- Room and board (10/45 meal plan) at Nugent Hall (single room)
- Monthly stipend.
PPGA responsibilities begin in August and continue through May. Any program/training attended before 8/16/2025 will be paid at an hourly rate.
