Who Should Apply
The University of Illinois receives applications from students across the United States and Puerto Rico. Participation in the Summer Research Opportunities Program at the Urbana campus is extended, but not limited, to students from underrepresented racial and ethnic populations in graduate programs at Illinois. As well as to students interested in conducting research on topics that specifically affects U.S. minority populations.
Applicants should be:
- Citizen or permanent residents of the United States.
- An undergraduate student who has earned 45 credit hours or more.
- Are seniors who will not graduate before December 2012
- Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
And have submitted:
- Fall 2011 semester grades (must be recorded and submitted in an official transcript before eligibility is determined)
