Abstract: Given the challenges of academic life, conflict is bound to surface in even the best advisor-advisee relationships. Knowing your preferred style of managing conflict (and being able to identify your students’ preferred styles) can help you maintain effective working relationships with your students. This session will highlight best practices for managing conflict in advisor-advisee relationships.
