Foellinger Great Hall in the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts
Your doctoral degree represents the culmination of years of commitment, dedication, and work. We hope that you’ll join us to celebrate of all that you’ve accomplished, surrounded by the family, friends, and colleagues who helped you succeed.
Graduates and hooding faculty will process into Foellinger Great Hall in the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts and the ceremony will include comments from Chancellor Robert J. Jones, Interim Provost John P. Wilkin, and Wojtek Chodzko-Zajko, Dean of the Graduate College. Deans from each college and school will be present to congratulate students on their achievements. Dr. Jennifer C. Greene, Professor of Educational Psychology and recipient of the Campus Award for Excellence in Graduate Student Mentoring, will deliver remarks. The focus of the ceremony is the formal "hooding" of doctoral degree recipients, often by faculty advisers.
The event will be livestreamed for family and friends who are unable to attend the ceremony in person. Livestreaming details will be added closer to the event.
Doctoral students (PhD, EdD, JSD, DMA and AudD) are eligible to participate in the Doctoral Hooding Ceremony if they graduated in August 2017 or will finish the degree requirements for December 2017.
