INTERSECT Proposals Due Jan. 30

The Graduate College invites proposals from faculty for INTERSECT, a bold new initiative in interdisciplinary arts and humanities research & training.  This is a two year grant competition that will provide up to $125,000 per year (for a total of up to $250,000 per award) to support graduate students in the arts and humanities.

The dominant focus of INTERSECT is to develop innovative and collaborative environments for graduate education. By placing graduate students trained in the arts and humanities at the forefront of interdisciplinary research, these students will be capable of producing new knowledge valuable across disciplines, creating transformative learning experiences, and developing high levels of expertise necessary to contribute to new and emerging fields relevant to life in the 21st century.

The Graduate College will award up to two INTERSECT research and training grants.  Additional information, including the full solicitation and link on the online submission process are posted at www.grad.illinois.edu/intersect.
