The Symposium on Graduate Education began in 2003, when the University of Illinois Graduate College initiated a campus-wide event to bring attention to graduate education, research, and career planning. It's aim is to provide an opportunity for graduate students, faculty, and staff to discuss the challenges and opportunities distinctive to graduate education. 2008 marks our Sixth Annual Symposium on Graduate Education, which is co-sponsored by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research. This event is free. Advance registration is recommended.
