Using Renewable Energy Sources in the State of Texas

This report is a review of the different types of renewable sources that could be used in Texas. Those types of renewable energy sources consist of solar power, wind power, geothermal energy, hydroelectric power and biomass energy. In this project each main renewable source was evaluated with respect to the pros and cons, efficiency, and the future of the respective technologies. After the data was collected, a determination was made deciding on which renewable source would best fit different areas in Texas. Texas solar power was most promising in the western region and northern region. Biomass was the most effective in the eastern region. In the southern region geothermal energy and hydroelectric power was the most effective.
