Theory of Semiconductors and Numerical Solutions of semiconductor devices

Semiconductor devices are everywhere in today's world and are found increasingly in everyday appliances. For the advancement of such devices, their electrical behaviors have to be considered. The goal of this research will be to introduce the theory of semiconductors and to investigate the electrical behavior of semiconductor devices. To achieve this, numerical solutions will be produced for simulations with semiconductor device models. The numerical method that will be concentrated on in this research is Finite Difference method, which is utilized to solve Poisson's Equation. Poisson's Equation provides the potential distribution (electrostatic behavior) of semiconductor devices.
