Student attitudes toward adulthood: "Breaking out of the womb"
The purpose of this study is to analyze the attitudes of college students toward adulthood and assess their ideas toward the future workforce and economy. The participants in this study consist of college students enrolled in a Community Health course. The participants were given surveys and passive consent forms, which explained that the survey was optional and no personal information was needed. The survey deals with the scope of preexisting opinions that students have on the subject of adult development in areas of security and opportunities.
The results indicated that many participants are very optimistic about their future and sustaining successful careers. The findings incorporate many of the ideas of today's literature and the preconceived beliefs of young adults. Thus, it will be imperative that companies take this into consideration to possibly develop programs that financially assist college students and persuade them into the working world.
