The Puerto Ricans Immigrant in New York City between 1920 and 2000

This study examines Puerto Rican migration to New York City between 1920 and 2000. With economic crisis in Puerto Rico, many poor families migrated to the United States. The United States was an attractive place with health agriculture and plentiful jobs. At the same time, schools and Universities were perceived to be vibrant and attractive. This research examines the nature and attributes of this migratory process. Diverse sources are used to reconstruct the reasons and rationale of this migration. I revise theory data using regarding the migration of Puerto Ricans to New York City. I rely on the Writing of Bonilla Frank (Industries Idleness), Lawrence R. Hainault (The Puerto Ricans Migrant in New York City), and other books. Also use demographic data. The results will shed light on the forces and processes that propel this migration.
