Mi Lucha: The Voices of Mexican Immigrant High School Students on Schooling and their Access to College Resources
This qualitative research examines the experiences and testimonies of students regarding access to higher education. This is a case study of Mexican students in two Midwestern communities located near a university. The study focuses on students' opportunities to receive information regarding higher education in high school. The research brings forth students' voices and stories about their experiences in Midwestern cities. The findings showed several themes impacting Mexican immigrant students' opportunities to higher education such as discrimination, curriculum, programs, financial resources and lack of information.
