The identity process through Animated Narrative Vignettes and Social Simulations
The research project is about understanding the identity process in pre-service teachers. The principal objective is to explore the past experiences that have affected the pre-service teachers when they were K -14 students. These experiences were demonstrated through Animated Narrative Vignettes (ANV) and Social Simulations. Through the process that involves ANV Social Simulation the participants reflect about the past school experience that contributed to his/her own identity process. Researchers have found that identity exploration and reflection persists through young adulthood, therefore, ANV Social Simulation provide this opportunity. Pre-service teachers enrolled (N= 29) in an educational technology course were participants in this study. It is expected that with ANV and Social Simulation the participants will be able to explore and reflect about meaningful past events that have contributed to their capacity of making decisions and their personal and intrapersonal relationships about a school experience.
