Bringing Diversity to Advertising
Several years ago the advertising industry came up with an idea to introduce ethnically and racially diverse students into the advertising industry. Through exceptional programs such as the Multicultural Advertising Internship Program (MAIP) and the Multicultural Advertising Training program (MAT) many multicultural students across the country have had the opportunity to be an intern and learn valuable skills at a top advertising agency. These programs have high hopes of bringing diversity to the advertising and marketing communications industry so that it reflects the diversity of our great country. These interns are well trained an given the experience of a lifetime in order to make the advertising industry a better place. Through research I will determine how successful the programs are and how much more diversity there is in the advertising industry.
