Analysis of the Cartoon Show Codename: Kids Next Door - Link to the Peter Pan Syndrome
Codename: Kids Next Door is a cartoon show about a global organization of kids that fight against adult tyranny and protect the rights of kids worldwide (Warburton, 2002). This cartoon show has a number of themes within it that can be linked to our society. The fear of aging and its relation to the Peter Pan Syndrome is examined in the character Numbuh 274, whose unwillingness to leave the Kids Next Door can be seen as a refusal to grow up. It is argued that the world of Codename: Kids Next Door, as well as other cartoons, is a mirror of our society which can help us see it in a different perspective.
