How Students get Access to McKinley and its Services

  1. Register: The McKinley fee is a required fee, and is assessed automatically of all students registered for more than 3 hours in the summer or 6 hours in the fall and spring terms.
  2. Pay the fee: Students enrolled for less than 3 hours in the summer or 6 hours in the fall and spring terms, may pay the McKinley fee at the Health Center in order to access the centers and their services for that semester.
    • If you are not now enrolled, but were the previous semester, you may also gain access to McKinley services by paying a slightly higher fee. This can be done only for the semester following a semester in which you were enrolled, but you may do it after every semester you are not enrolled that follows a semester in which you were enrolled. For example, if a student is enrolled every spring and not enrolled every summer, they may pay the fee to gain services every summer. However if they then never enrolled in the fall semester, they could not pay the fee to gain services for the fall semester.
  3. Have your student spouse pay your fee: Graduate students may pay an additional fee to allow their spouses to use these services also.
Students eligible to pay the McKinley fee to access services may pay the fee at any time during the semester, and use the services that same day.
