As part of the ongoing Assessment of the Illinois Doctoral Experience (AIDE), all graduating doctoral students are required to take the AIDE Exit Survey. Data from this survey allow the University of Illinois to monitor and improve the quality of its doctoral programs. De-identified data from this survey are also forwarded to the Association of American Universities Data Exchange, which facilitates the sharing of information nationally to inform graduate education at both local and national levels.
The AIDE Exit Survey focuses on students’ experiences in their programs, including their satisfaction with program structure, mentoring, research opportunities and career preparation. Students typically take 10-15 minutes to complete the survey. You may access the survey through the following link: https://www.grad.illinois.edu/exitsurvey/
When you submit the survey, both you and the Thesis Office will receive a confirmation that you have completed the requirement. Please keep a copy for your records.
For students who are not depositing theses with the Graduate College, you must also complete the survey by following the link above. Confirmation of your completion will be communicated to the unit at the Graduate College that certifies degree requirements.
If you have any questions, email us at DocExperience@illinois.edu, and include your UIN.
