am i eligible for an application fee waiver?

International students are not eligible for waivers. Domestic students may be eligible for application fee waivers if they are a University of Illinois employee (academic professional, civil service, or faculty only) or affiliated with an allied agency.

I am a McNair Scholar, am I eligible for a fee waiver?

Yes. In your online application, mark “Yes” that you are eligible for a fee waiver, select McNair Scholar as your approved designated program, and when prompted, upload a copy of your McNair Acceptance / Verification Letter from your undergraduate institution. We will review and approve your fee waiver request after you submit your online application. If we are unable to approve this request for any reason, we will contact you.

Can you provide me with information on the Big Ten Academic Alliance (btaa) FreeApp application fee waiver?

Yes, please visit our web site. When submitting your BTAA Free Application, please indicate that you plan to apply to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After completing the online BTAA Free Application, we ask that you visit our site to apply online to your proposed program of study. In this online application, there is a section regarding Application Fee Waivers. Have multiple application fee charges on your credit card statement?

Most commonly, additional charges are pre-authorized charges that will drop off your statement within a few days. Your end of the month statement is the best place to review these.
